READING   COMPREHENSION ,   6TH PRIMARY,    UNIT  6  ADVENTURE CAMP

The 5TH of June is the World Environment day and

 we will celebrate the  “Green  Week''  at school  and we  are  going to 

have some activities related to the environment. By the  way, I  am 

 Martina, and  I  am from Spain.

We  are   going to calculate how much  we can save in energy  if  we

make some small changes in our  everyday life. 

First of all In Language subject we are going to make a survey about good 

uses at home and in Natural Science we are going to plant many vegetables

 in the school orchard .

At  school  we are  not  going to use  plastic  bags  anymore, and the

  paper is recycled.

Did   you know that  you are going to use 200 liters of water  

every 10 minutes of shower? So…. short showers  please,  

and  do  not  forget  to close the tap   while  you are brushing  your teeth.  

And what about the oil  we use  in the kitchen¡¡¡, there  are  two

  solutions. We are going to  make  homemade  soap or you are

 going to  recycle in a proper place.

Secondly I am not going to forget  to turn off  the lights when

 not in use  and  I  am  going to use  energy  efficient bulbs.

Finally, in my house we all  love plants and flowers, and we 

 are  going to design  a garden. My mother is a  designer. We

 always  collect  water  from rain, we are going to water at  

sunset  and  we are going to make compost from organic trash.

Hello!!!! My name is  Terry. I like cooking. I usually help my dad in the kitchen,

my dad is good at cooking, he is Matteo, he sometimes follows the recipe from the internet.

Our favourite   recipe is the  vanilla biscuits. 

Today we are making some croissants  because  today  is my birthday and I love croissants

First I  need some  butter and milk,  but  there  is not any, we have to buy butter and milk.  

We have some  flour, some  sugar  and  some  eggs, we   do  not need  any  juice to bake

 the croissants.

Second  I   beat the eggs and  I  mix the eggs and the milk with  four bowls of

flour. I  chop the butter in small pieces.

Third I   mix everything  together,I  cover it  and I  wait  to  be  cold.

Finally, I   heat  the oven at 200 degrees  and I bake the croissants.

Hello, my name is Carolina, I don ́t like going shopping, but today I have to help my father with the    shopping, in my city there is a shopping center with many shops, bookshop, shoeshop,  petshop, supermarket, clotheshop ...

First we need to buy a pair of boots at the shoe shop, it is on the third floor, and after we buy some  books in the book shop that is on the second floor. The boots are fifty euros and the book is fifteen euros.

 My dad needs to buy a new battery for the computer, the computer shop is on the first floor. The battery is expensive, it is  one hundred and thirty five euros.

Second we buy some food too, and we get in the supermarket on the ground floor.

Finally we go to the baker ́s, and we get some bread for the meal and some cakes, they are thirteen euros and fifty cents
